Countess Setsuko Klossowska de Rola was designated as a UNESCO Artist for Peace on 7 January 2004 in recognition of her role in promoting UNESCO’s Programmes related to World Heritage Education and Intercultural Dialogue between young people as well as in recognition of her dedication to cultural cooperation.
She is also a President of the Balthus Foundation, which has been established to safeguard and promote the memory of the late artist Balthus Klossowski de Rola.
