Ram Singh died in action on the 1st December, 1917 and was awarded the Indian Distinguished Service Medal (IDSM) on the 17th of February, 1917 for his gallantry during the battle in France. He is commemorated in the Ayette Indian & Chinese Cemetery, Pas de Calais, France.
