Erin Renner is a career Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. Department of State. She is an education policy expert currently responsible for advancing U.S. government education policy initiatives at UNESCO as the Education Officer to the U.S. Mission to UNESCO. In this role, Erin focuses on Global Citizenship Education and education to prevent violent extremism. Erin previously served U.S. Senator Edward Kennedy as an education policy advisor and Vice President Joseph Biden when he was a U.S. Senator. Erin has also worked in the U.S. Department of Education. She holds a Master’s Degree in Education Policy from Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Erin is from the United States and currently lives in Paris with her husband and son.
