David Marks is a partner at GCA Law Partners. David specializes in litigation and alternative dispute resolution. He serves clients in an array of real estate and construction disputes, including construction defects, title and easement issues, purchase and sales transactions, broker liability, commercial unlawful detainers, lease disputes, dissolutions of business ventures and breach of contract.
David also uses his experience in construction and real estate law to prepare construction contracts, review leases and counsel clients on insurance issues for construction projects. David assists clients in the purchase, sale and leasing of residential property. Moreover, he has an extensive background in alternative dispute resolution, and is currently acting as an arbitrator, a mediator and as a Judge Pro Tem in Santa Clara County.
David is the Co-Chair of the Litigation subsection of the Real Estate Section of the California State Bar, a member of Santa Clara County Bar Association participates as a Judge Pro Tem and Early Neutral Evaluator for the Santa Clara Superior Court and is a member Stanford Professionals in Real Estate (SPIRE).
David graduated from Stanford University with Departmental Honors in 1984 and Hastings College of the Law in 1988. He is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell and was named to Super Lawyers in 2011.
